Job description
In this role, you will support Windows Server and Microsoft cloud services within a regulated financial services environment. The ideal candidate supports system availability, security controls, and audit readiness through monitoring, incident response, patching, and configuration management. The successful candidate partners with senior administrators to troubleshoot issues, implement approved changes, and improve operational processes through automation and AI-assisted tooling., * Monitor and maintain the health and performance of Windows servers and workstations.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems and supporting applications.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repeatable tasks.
- Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, intelligent monitoring platforms) for log analysis, troubleshooting, and operational insights.
- Support the deployment of system updates, patches, and security fixes in accordance with change and maintenance windows.
- Analyze and respond to system alerts and user-reported issues to minimize downtime and restore services.
- Document system configurations, changes, and issue resolution details in accordance with company standards.
- Participate in the evaluation and testing of new Windows-based technologies and tools.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end users and internal IT teams, as needed.
Requirements
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Willingness to learn and apply AI-assisted tools and complete ongoing professional development.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Windows Server and Windows 10/11.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and core Windows networking services.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Benefits & conditions
The expected base salary ranges from $85,000-$90,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
