SHL is seeking a Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping, positioning, and transitioning SHL's SaaS talent solutions for enterprise and global clients. Acting as a bridge between commercial, product, and delivery, you will own solution design from initial discovery through proposal and into seamless deployment handover. This role requires deep expertise across SHL's assessment, talent intelligence, and platform offerings, combined with the ability to translate complex scientific and technical capabilities into clear, outcome-driven solutions for HR, and business leaders. You will operate as a trusted advisor, ensuring solutions are scalable, commercially sound, and deployable within client ecosystems.

What you will be doing:
Client Discovery & Solution Leadership
- Guide and assist structured discovery engagements to identify client objectives across talent acquisition, development, mobility, and workforce planning.
- Diagnose client environments including HR processes, technology landscape, data flows, and operating models.
- Partner closely with Sales, Account Management, Deployment, and Professional
- Services to align on solution intent and delivery feasibility from the outset.
- Translate business problems into clear solution hypotheses aligned to SHL's SaaS capabilities.
End-to-End Solution Design
- Architect end-to-end solutions across SHL's portfolio, including assessments, platforms, insights, integrations, and services.
- Map client requirements to standard product capabilities, minimizing bespoke delivery while maximizing reuse and scalability.
- Define solution architecture covering assessment strategy, platform configuration, integrations, data flows, security, and deployment approach.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to assess roadmap alignment and manage expectations on future capabilities.
- Design and deliver compelling solution walkthroughs, demos, and narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proposal Ownership & Commercial Support
- Partner with BDMs and ADs to shape commercial proposals, including solution scope, assumptions, pricing inputs, and associations.
- Articulate clear value propositions and ROI narratives tied to measurable talent and operational outcomes.
- Help with RFPs, client presentations, and executive briefings with confident, credible solution positioning.
Deployment Handover & Continuity
- Ensure a clean and structured handover to Deployment and Customer Success teams, including documented solution designs, assumptions, and risks.
- Participate in internal solution reviews and kick-offs to maintain continuity from presales into delivery.
- Act as a point of escalation during early deployment to protect solution integrity and client confidence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in industrial / organizational psychology, Human Factors, Data Science, or a related field (master's preferred).
- 3-7 years' experience in presales, solution architecture, or solution consulting within SaaS HR Tech, Talent Tech, or Psychometrics.
- Strong knowledge of psychometric assessments and their application across the talent lifecycle.
- Proven experience designing solutions across multi-module SaaS platforms and enterprise client environments.
- Comfortable engaging with senior HR, TA, IT, and Procurement stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills.
- A solution-first mindset: able to balance client needs, product capability, and delivery reality.
- Strong business and commercial acumen alongside scientific and technical credibility.
- Confident operating across ambiguity, influencing without authority, and managing multiple stakeholders.
- A pragmatic approach to scaling solutions in a SaaS environment.
