Job description
The IT Security Specialist will support NAVSEA's PMS 340 office by overseeing cybersecurity compliance, managing system authorization activities, and ensuring adherence to DoD and Navy cybersecurity policies. This role includes maintaining RMF documentation, coordinating security assessments, advising program leadership on cyber risks, and ensuring systems remain secure throughout their lifecycle while supporting operational mission needs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, or a related field * 7-10 years of cybersecurity or information assurance experience aligned with senior ISSM responsibilities * Demonstrated experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, NIST controls, and Navy cybersecurity requirements * Active DoD Secret clearance, Strong ability to develop, review, and maintain cybersecurity documentation and brief senior stakeholders
