Job description
We're seeking a motivated and technically capable Helpdesk/Desktop Support Engineer to provide Level 1-2 support across small business Windows environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in troubleshooting, enjoys client-facing work, and is comfortable traveling throughout the Northeast for new system deployments and network installations., * Provide remote and on-site desktop support for Windows-based environments
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners
- Support Windows Server environments (user management, file/print services, basic AD tasks)
- Assist with small business network setups including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Perform new system installations, upgrades, and migrations at client sites
- Document support cases, resolutions, and asset changes in ticketing systems
- Collaborate with senior engineers on escalated issues and infrastructure projects
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in helpdesk or desktop support
- Solid understanding of Windows 10/11, Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), and Active Directory basics
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, basic routing)
- Experience supporting small business networks and remote users
- Ability to diagnose and resolve common hardware/software issues independently
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel across the Northeast (NY, NJ, PA, ME, CT, etc.)
Nice to Have
- Exposure to remote monitoring tools (e.g., RMM platforms)
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, batch)
- Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MCP

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year, * 401(k)
