Utility Infrastructure Project Manager

• Collaborates with peer Project Managers, department/division senior leadership, and other stakeholders' departments as a key consultant to provide recommendations to drive projects forward.

• Manages planning, development, and/or execution of electric transmission/distribution projects, which may include wildfire, infrastructure replacement, load growth, poles, line upgrades, maintenance, installations, etc.

• Drives milestones and report on medium to large transmission and/or distribution projects which may include designs, schedules, projects applications, compliance and safety documentation, regulatory filings, and local and state agency coordination.

• Facilitates the progress of development plans, work packages, testing procedures, and energization sequences. Resolves issues and ensures task completion by establishing priorities and resolving conflicts with team members and functional managers

• Ability to communicate effectively and with impact, maintain positive working relationships, and exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with multiple parties.

Utility Liaison:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for electric utilities, establishing and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Coordinate with utility companies on all aspects of projects, including permitting, outages, relocations, and new connections.
• Negotiate agreements and resolve conflicts with utility companies to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders regarding utility-related activities and updates.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee and manage various construction and electrical infrastructure projects, acting as a key liaison with electric utilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction principles, electrical systems, and project management with proven experience interacting with and coordinating with electric utility companies. This role requires exceptional communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while effectively navigating the complexities of utility coordination. Responsibilities:

• Required: Minimum 7 years of project management experience with projects in the field.

• Required: Electric utility experience

• Required: Skilled in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)

• Preferred: Construction management experience

• Preferred: Advanced skills in Microsoft Project and Excel

• Preferred: Familiarity with Power BI

• Preferred: Project Management Professional certification

• Manages multiple moderately complex projects effectively using project management principles, tools, and techniques under time constraints, shifting priorities, and making critical decisions with minimal supervision.

• Responsible for directing project initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure for core disciplines of project management (scope, schedule, and budget) independently., * Bachelor's degree

• 5+ years of experience in construction or electrical infrastructure projects, with demonstrable experience working directly with electric utility companies.
