Job description

  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insight into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
  • Create, maintain and enhance dashboards, reports and other visualizations for stakeholders.
  • Tightly collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on project planning and design processes.
  • Anticipates the impact on the business of any changes to existing systems and advises internal customers as appropriate.
  • Formulates options, including assessing their relative merits and risks, and works to determine the best solution.

Requirements

We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Enterprise Business Intelligence and Insights team. In this role, you will help transform complex data into meaningful, actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will lead the design and development of advanced data solutions, including impactful visualizations, dashboards, and self-service analytics tools, to empower stakeholders across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical and analytical skills, capable of understanding business challenges and developing both quantitative and qualitative solutions. The candidate must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products.

Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong communication skills, as well as the ability to adapt and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This position is remote.

This role is remote, with the option to work in a hybrid capacity if you are located near one of our offices in NYC, FLL, or TX., * Educational background in Computer Science or Engineering, Math, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.

  • 5+ years of experience in BI Engineering with hands-on responsibility for the end-to-end design, development, deployment and ongoing management of BI projects that drive data-informed decision-making.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power BI, SSRS
  • Ability to design, develop, and maintain logical and physical dimensional data models for analytical workloads
  • Strong Computer programming skills: SQL and Python
  • Experience with relational SQL databases: MS SQL Server, Snowflake or equivalent.
  • Experience with ETL Services: SSIS, Azure Data Factory, DBT or equivalent
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Experience designing, building and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data sets.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity to find new and unusual ways of how to solve data management issues.

The anticipated base salary for this role is 100,000.00 - 120,000.00 annually.
