Providing Tier II IT Systems support on a wide range of technologies, including: VMware vCenter, Horizon View, Site Recovery Manager, SolarWinds, Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC), GEMOne, HP SANs, Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policies and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

Diagnosing and resolving the performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the platforms listed above

Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accomplish repetitive tasks

Participating in processes throughout all phases of the ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests

Performing requirements analysis, requirements gathering, and integration for all platforms listed above

Providing direction and guidance to less-experienced Systems Engineers
-
Investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
-
Working on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer's production IT environment
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Systems Support and/or Administration experience; an Associates degree with 7+ years or a High School Diploma with 11+ years of Systems Support/Administration experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

DoD 8570 IAT Level III/8140 level expert Certification required, ex, SecurityX, CASP+ CE, CCNP CISA, or CISSP

DoD 8570 computing environment certification required within 6 months of hire. MCSA, VCP, or equivalent

Experience with Microsoft Windows Systems, specifically: Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016/2019 Servers; Microsoft Windows 10; administering Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and workstation and server hardware; administering Microsoft Office 2010/2016; administering DNS, Group Policy, and PKI; administering vSphere, Horizon View, data backup, and antivirus software; basic networking including DHCP/TCPIP

Experience with CISCO networking devices and TACLANE encryption devices

Working knowledge of VMWare, and CISCO systems

Willingness to occasionally work after normal duty hours (nights and weekends) to support system maintenance or service outages
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience applying security best practices from DISA and/or vendors
-
Strong background with the Microsoft Office suite
-
Basic networking expertise
-
Experience using a Service Desk ticketing system, such as Remedy or ServiceNow
-
ITIL Foundations certification
-
Scripting experience or willingness to learn
Clearance Requirements:
- Must hold an active TS clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years, and be willing and able to obtain a polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
