Job description
Provide technical solutions utilizing a broad variety of tools for projects and customers of STATS programs. The primary roles are:
(1) Support the extraction and transformation of data from legacy CAMA (Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal) and Tax Administration systems into our modern platform.
(2) Provide second-level technical support for STATS products and administrative systems.
(3) Use and develop reports to support customers and project activities.
You will use a wide variety of tools, mostly Microsoft based, amplified by AI to accomplish your work., * SQL Development: Assist in writing and testing SQL scripts (T-SQL/PL-SQL) to facilitate data migrations.
- Data Analysis: Support the mapping of legacy data structures to our modern platform, identifying key valuation characteristics.
- Technical Support for Web applications: Work with users to understand issues, troubleshoot and provide superior customer service while providing the solution.
- Report Development: Assist in creating reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI and SSRS
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Coordinate with team members and county stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve data mapping hurdles.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of technology solutions.
Requirements
This is an ideal role for a candidate looking to apply a broad set of technical skills in a public service setting., * Data Conversion and Technical Support Experience: 2+ years employment performing web application support and conversion activities.
- SQL Skills: Proficiency in writing basic to intermediate SQL queries, including joins and aggregate functions.
- Microsoft Tool Experience: Experience using Microsoft tools such as Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, and Power BI
- Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail with a "zero-error" mindset when managing public financial records.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, such as County Assessors or Treasurers.
- Customer Service Mindset: Understanding and exceeding customer expectations is Job 1
Preferred Qualifications
- GIS Interest: A basic understanding of or interest in how GIS parcel data integrates with tax systems.
