Job description

The Master Data Analyst is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data within SAP to support manufacturing, supply chain, and business operations. This role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across systems to enable effective production planning, inventory management, costing, and reporting., Create, maintain, and update master data records (e.g., material, plant, vendor, and related master data) in SAP, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established governance standards. Serve as a master data steward by owning the end to end lifecycle of assigned data objects and ensuring alignment with site, divisional, and corporate policies. Partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Procurement and Finance teams to collect requirements and ensure master data supports operational and business needs. Support manufacturing operations by validating master data readiness for production orders, MRP, routings, inventory transactions, and costing activities. Facilitate master data setup and changes for new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, line extensions, and product phase outs. Investigate and analyze master data requests to understand downstream impacts across SAP modules and connected systems, identifying risks and recommending solutions. Perform regular data quality reviews, audits, and reconciliations; identify root causes of data issues and drive corrective and preventive actions. Develop and maintain Excel based reports, trackers, and dashboards to monitor data quality, workflow performance, and backlog trends. Support SAP enhancements, system upgrades, and deployments by assisting with data validation, testing, issue resolution, and user adoption. Maintain and improve master data standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and work instructions to reflect regulatory, system, or process changes. Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cycle times. Communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, providing timely updates on master data activities and issues. Provide guidance and training to business partners on master data requirements, best practices, and lead times. Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail and meeting critical deadlines. Ability to identify and appropriately prioritize many incoming demands. Adaptability and teamwork are critical due to the dynamic environment of Master Data.   • Liaisons with subject matter experts across the business (Commercial and Manufacturing sites) to provide updates to team members due to tight timelines and urgency of information.
  • Investigate and analyze the various requests and understand the potential downstream implications to all applications.
  • Adhere to Divisional and Departmental governance rules when maintaining and editing Master Data.
  • Work on continual maintenance of the team's standard operating procedures based on business and regulatory changes required to achieve best in class Master Data.
  • Provide professional and thorough communications in a timely manner to a broad range of colleagues (including senior leadership) on Master Data related issues.
  • Assist large group and organization in any deployments of software/technology to ensure seamless integration and onboarding.
  • Ability to identify and appropriately prioritize many incoming demands.
  • Adaptability and teamwork are critical due to the dynamic environment of Master Data.
  • Data Maintenance: Create, update, and delete master data records to ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple applications.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate's degree (± 6 years), * Minimum 6 years Master Data experience working in dynamic environment.
