Our customer is seeking an Entry-Level IT / Bench Technician to work in a configuration room environment. This role focuses on imaging, configuring, wiping, and preparing laptops and desktops for shipment to end clients. The technician will follow documented procedures to ensure systems are properly configured, inventoried, and ready for deployment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic IT training, hands-on hardware experience, or technical schooling looking to launch a career in IT., * Build, configure, and image laptops and desktop computers
- Wipe systems and restore devices to factory settings as part of lifecycle management
- Perform basic break/fix and hardware troubleshooting tasks
- Prepare, package, and ship equipment to end clients
- Receive returned hardware, process assets, and perform data wipes
- Track equipment using asset inventory procedures
- Follow standard operating procedures and setup documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench area
Requirements
- Basic computer and hardware knowledge
- Ability to build and configure PCs and laptops
- Entry-level troubleshooting and break/fix experience
- Familiarity with IT fundamentals and A+ concepts (certification is a plus, not required)

- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Willing and able to start work at 7:00 AM

Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract position based out of North Haven, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
