Job description
- Demonstrates proficiency in understanding computer systems, applications, and interfaces.
- Works with other analysts to support maintenance and periodic updates of the shared Epic Garden Plot installation.
- Designs, builds and tests new features to ensure integration across Epic modules and other third-party systems
- Analyst serves as a subject matter expert (SME), proactively identifying system optimization opportunities, leading medium to complex initiatives, and ensuring application integrity through upgrades, enhancements, and regulatory changes
- Demonstrates proficiency in data gathering techniques and the ability to design and communicate systems solutions to user issues and problems of medium complexity.
- Creates detailed work-related specifications, system design documentation, procedures, process flows, data flows and project and change management plans
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Application Support
- Provide day-to-day support for Epic Systems applications, addressing end-user inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborate with end-users and IT teams to understand and address workflow challenges, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Assist in the implementation of updates and enhancements to Epic Systems applications.
Documentation and Training
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation, including training materials and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in the delivery of training programs for end-users, promoting the effective use of Epic Systems functionalities.
- Support the creation of user guides and educational resources.
Coordination and Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and implement Epic Systems applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Participate in project planning and execution, providing support for the successful implementation of system changes.
- Act as a liaison between end-users and IT teams, facilitating effective communication and understanding of system requirements.
Quality Assurance
- Assist in quality assurance activities, including testing and validation of Epic Systems configurations and updates.
- Collaborate with end-users to gather feedback, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the resolution of issues.
- Other duties as assigned, including on-call support on a team rotational basis
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Two years of operational experience in a clinical or healthcare business operations setting or in information technology.
- Demonstrated progressive experience with information systems; healthcare environment preferred.
- Current experience and/or certification in configuring Epic or must achieve certification.
- Must receive a passing score (as defined by Epic), within two attempts, on all required exams and projects (as defined by Epic) within 6 weeks after completion of training or within a pre-determined 6-week timeframe and achieve certification.
