The Ventura Group is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Cybersecurity Operations Engineer to serve as key personnel supporting a high-visibility Federal Government program., About the Job: We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Cybersecurity Operations Engineer to serve as key personnel supporting a high-visibility Federal Government program., Scope: The Cybersecurity Operations Engineer lead will provide support to the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC). This position is to serve as senior cyber defense operations supporting both hybrid clous and on-premise network systems, to strengthen monitoring capabilities and improve thread detection. Duties include support of:

  • Daily review of logs and security alerts

  • Investigate suspicious activity

  • Execute incident response procedures

  • Prepare daily/weekly security reports

  • Improve alerting logic and automation

  • Support vulnerability and threat monitoring

  • Recommend improvements to security posture

  • Maintain reporting checklists and operational cadence

Requirements

Experience with the following:

  • NIST

  • FISMA

  • CISA directives

  • Azure Security

  • Defender

  • SIEM platforms

  • PowerShell automation

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • 6+ years of work experience with Cybersecurity
