Job description
We are seeking a Network Implementation Engineer I to support OSP network design, financial processes, and regulatory coordination across multiple projects. This role manages engineering requests within an assigned geographic area and collaborates with internal teams, vendors, and city officials to ensure smooth project execution.
The Main Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update Engineering Work Orders for new builds, upgrades, relocations, and fiber deployments (FTTN, FTTH, FTTT, etc.).
- Review design prints and redlines; apply corrections to ensure accuracy and construction readiness.
- Develop OSP designs in 3GIS and utilize tools such as AutoCAD/CAD systems, Ivaula, Netsuite, Sitetracker, and Microsoft Office.
- Process invoices, validate financial documentation, and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with vendors, developers, builders, and municipalities on project requirements and timelines.
- Engage with city departments to secure permits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support Engineering II and Senior Engineers and complete record updates as needed.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of telecommunications, engineering, or network planning experience.
- Strong proficiency with engineering systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
