TELECOMMUTE Senior Developer

• Develop scalable, resilient software solutions to accelerate product delivery timelines
• Partner with architects to support migration toward serverless, containerized cloud frameworks (AWS/Azure)
• Write clean, secure, 508-compliant code; conduct peer code reviews
• Support modernization efforts for legacy Progress/OpenEdge applications
• Perform gap analysis, root-cause troubleshooting, and impact assessments
• Create/maintain technical artifacts and documentation
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA Privacy/Security Rules and corporate development standards

Acentra Health is seeking a Senior Developer (Contract) with deep expertise in Progress ABL/OpenEdge and mandatory healthcare domain experience to enhance our RxExplorer pharmacy technology platform. This is a 3-month remote contract (US-based only) with potential for extension, starting April 27, 2026. Domain: Healthcare experience mandatory; Pharmacy/PBM experience a strong plus Must-Have Requirements:

• 5+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years hands-on with Progress ABL (OpenEdge) and Progress Development Studio
• Proficiency in JavaScript and BASH scripting
• Healthcare domain experience required (e.g., EHR, PBM, pharmacy systems, HIPAA compliance)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, SDLC/STLC, code reviews, and unit testing
• Familiarity with Jira and Bitbucket (or similar DevOps tools), * Pharmacy/PBM or prescription management system experience
• Experience modernizing legacy applications to cloud/containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS)
• Familiarity with COTS integrations (Salesforce, MuleSoft, PEGA, Oracle SOA)
• Knowledge of IAM/SSO, application security, and vulnerability remediation
• Experience supporting RFP responses, estimation, or business development activities
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
