- Develop and Test code
- Identify, research and resolve root cause of production issues in application systems
- Troubleshoot system and application issues
- Monitor batch applications on a need basis
- Work on cross functional projects, so would need an expert on Mainframe (COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM Skillsets).
Requirements
Strong experience in Mainframe development
Strong programming experience in COBOL
Hands-on experience with JCL, CICS, and DB2
Knowledge of VSAM and file handling
Experience with debugging tools such as Abend-AID or File-AID
Mandatory skills
