Job description

As a Mainframe SCM Admin, you will make an impact by strengthening and evolving our mainframe configuration management environment. By supporting and optimizing ChangeMan ZMF and Endevor, you will improve deployment reliability, reduce risk, and enable more efficient software delivery across critical systems. Your work will directly shape how applications are built, promoted, and maintained within a complex z/OS ecosystem. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and work collaboratively with the Senior Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Install, configure, and maintain ChangeMan ZMF and Endevor, including SMP/E upgrades for z/OS and ISV products

  • Monitor system performance, started tasks, and library utilization to ensure a stable and highly available environment

  • Define and maintain application libraries, component types, and compile/link procedures across environments

  • Configure and manage promotion workflows, including development, test, and production stages, approvals, and deployments

  • Manage full package lifecycle including CREATE, CAST, REVIEW, EXECUTE, and COMMIT, ensuring audit compliance and successful promotions

  • Diagnose and resolve compile, promotion, audit, dependency, and version inconsistency issues, including out-of-sync conditions

  • Define and maintain Endevor inventory structures and processor groups (BUILD, TEST, MOVE, DELETE, MODIFY) and support code movement across stages

  • Configure and maintain user access, security controls, and compliance within configuration management tools

  • Customize and enhance environments using REXX, ISPF panels, and skeletons, while improving workflows through automation and CI/CD integration

  • Support disaster recovery planning and execution and contribute to migration initiatives toward modern or alternative configuration management solutions
