Job description
As part of the Launch Operations team, you will configure and test spacecraft while working with launch service providers to deliver Leo to orbit. Launch operations is a fast-paced, dynamic environment which demands flexibility. Leo works collaboratively in cross-functional teams to ensure on-time completion of tasks. To be successful you need to be highly motivated and detail-oriented while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
The Test Engineer implements test requirements, plans integrated operations, authors work procedures, loads software updates, implements process controls, and drives continuous improvement. This individual will work closely with satellite manufacturing and software development teams.
The ideal candidate is comfortable in a highly technical and collaborative setting and is able to interpret technical requirements and turn them into actionable steps.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities *Configures test equipment, loads software, and commands spacecraft functions
*Authors and implements work instruction documents and standard processes
*Schedules and leads teams of engineers and technicians while performing work
*Plans and optimizes work flow for satellite integration and test execution
*Plans logistics and coordinates launch vehicle provider work in Leo facility
*Continuously improves spacecraft integration operations and test requirements
*Resolves anomalies and implements corrective actions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience with engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- 3+ years experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems, Master's degree in engineering, management, or technology
- 4+ years of Space Vehicle operations experience
- 4+ years of Launch Vehicle operations experience
- 2+ years experience with schematic design, test rack design, and troubleshooting skills

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
