Job description

The Testing Transformation Team (T3) is not a team of test engineers. Our mission: We will transform Advice and Wealth Management's testing and quality assurance practices to increase consumer confidence in our products, enable our product teams to deliver value faster and support our ability to scale by providing Testing and Governance Standards, Expertise, Testing Solutions, and Tools. ·We aim to be a highly responsive development organization, delivering capabilities to market efficiently. ·We aim to foster highly engaged agile teams, that consistently deliver high-quality products. ·We aim to achieve high availability and resiliency while responding efficiently to failure.

The Testing Transformation Team is looking for a highly engaged Application Engineer who is passionate about Testing tools and Automation Solutions, Collaboration, Consultation and Process Improvements to enable our Product Teams across all of Advice and Wealth Management to deliver a quality product. Core Responsibilities

  • Provides intermediate level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases. Integrates third party products.
  • Translates technical specifications into code for moderately complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients. Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that support automation.
  • Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provides follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.
  • Follows software development methodology. Follows development architecture standards.
  • Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues. Participates in systems analysis activities.
  • Understands client business functions and technology needs. Understands Vanguard's tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including those that interface with business area and systems.
  • Learns and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years related work experience, with at least one year of development experience
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience using AI for automation
  • Working knowledge of Java, Python, Spring boot and AWS Services
