Job description
Our client is seeking a Level 2 Network Operations Center Technicians for the day shift for the following shifts: Weekend Days and Overnights Thur-Sat 7a-7p, every other Wed- Person will work overtime for one week and 36 hours on the other weeks. 7p-7a Sun-Tue, every other Sat-somewhat flexible with the days, but has to work overnights. Person needs to be able to get to Owings Mills, MD periodically. This role is 80% Remote This person will serve as the first level of troubleshooting and escalation for the Enterprise, Network-Device and Systems Servers for our client. Duties will include working with other analysts within the 24x7 NOC Environment. This analyst will have responsibility for the maintaining the reliability of our client's Network Systems utilizing HP Openview's Management suite of products and a very strong background in Network Operations, Cisco Devices, Windows Servers and leverages SNOW as their ticketing system. - Responsibility for the reliability of the Network Infrastructure (primarily Cisco environment/Cisco Devices, and telecommunications infrastructure that would include DWDM, Sonet, Fiber and MPLS-Verizon
- Break/Fix of CEG Network Devices, Cisco 6500/7200 and triage problems and resolution.
- Perform network diagnostics to remediate detected/reported network incidents
- Perform scheduled network configuration changes (SW/HW).
- Work with groups within IT Infrastructure and IT Applications in resolving problem issues.
Requirements

3-4 yrs: Working knowledge of enterprise IT network and systems management tools (experience with HP OpenView or Spectrum Troubleshooting Cisco Devices/Ports, Lan Circuits, VPN and VLans. Should understand telecom topology and fiber for understanding outages

Cisco Routing Switching Support Experience-port configuration, perform basic commands and troubleshooting for multi campus, complex networks. Our client supports over 4500 Network devices. They are a Cisco shop. 3..Heavy Network Diagnostics and troubleshooting(NNMi- tooling) involving Operational Demand Requests such as DNS, DHCP, Server or Network changes. This person should be able to log into a Server reset logs, reset a Server, understand patching and server functionality.

Extensive Network Monitoring: should understand monitoring tools(NNMi) and leverage SNOW for ticketing
