Job description
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Tier 3) to support and enhance client environments across our managed services portfolio. This role is responsible for handling complex technical escalations, leading infrastructure projects, and ensuring the stability and performance of client systems.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working across a variety of environments, solving complex problems, and contributing to both reactive support and proactive improvements., Technical Escalations
- Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex technical issues
- Troubleshoot across server, cloud, and network environments
- Resolve high-impact issues in a timely, SLA-driven environment
Project Delivery
- Lead and execute infrastructure and cloud projects, including:
- Server and virtualization migrations
- Microsoft 365 and SharePoint implementations
- Device management (Intune) deployments
- OS upgrades and system modernization initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver successful outcomes
Systems Administration & Support
- Manage and maintain Windows server environments and virtual infrastructure
- Support hybrid environments (cloud and on-premises)
- Ensure systems are secure, stable, and aligned with best practices
Client Engagement
- Participate in technical discussions with clients
- Gather requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
- Support project planning and execution from a technical perspective
Technical Environment
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Intune
- Windows Server
- Hyper-V (VMware experience a plus)
- SharePoint
- MSP tools such as ConnectWise
Requirements
Required
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure support
- Strong experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server)
- Experience supporting cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Preferred
- Experience working in an MSP or multi-client environment
- Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware)
- Experience with migrations and infrastructure projects, * Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across different client environments
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Interest in growing into more senior or lead technical roles over time
