Software Engineer (SS&C Technologies, Inc.; Chicago, IL): The Software Engineer will design/maintain database queries and procedures for financial market data solutions. They will analyze, design, implement or support information technology solutions by creating new and/or modifying existing software applications that provide a business function for the organization or its customers. Initiatives may range from small enhancements through the largest, most complex development projects. Specific duties include: Developing high quality database solutions. Developing, implementing and optimizing stored procedures and functions. Developing new and scalable solution for new business requirements. Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field, plus 2 years of related experience.
Must have:
- 1 year of experience as a SQL developer or similar role.
- 1 year of python development experience.
- Excellent understanding of SQL programming.
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Illinois: The expected base salary for the position is between 102,700.00 USD to 120,000.00 USD.
In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company's discretion.
