Job description

You may review, modify, or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system., At Regions, the Systems Administrator installs, configures, and maintains operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages

  • Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established Information Technology (IT) policies and procedures

  • Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels

  • Monitors system software licensing and maintenance agreements

  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions

  • Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations

  • Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services

  • Develops and promotes standard operating procedures

  • Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines

  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation

  • Performs scripting as needed (i.e. PowerShell and Bash)

  • Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or technical training program and four (4) years of related experience

  • Or High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of related experience

Additional experience/preferences:

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain enterprise backup systems (3-5+ yrs experience with platforms such as Commvault, NetBackup, Rubrik, Cohesity, etc.).

  • Optimize backup schedules, retention policies, and storage efficiency.

  • Configure and manage cloud based backup solutions (such as AWS, Azure, etc.).

  • Integrate on premise and hybrid backup systems with cloud storage

  • Experience with cyber resilience, immutability, and threat detection best practices

  • Support hybrid cloud disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

This position is currently offsite, preferably close to a Regions office within our retail branch footprint (click** here (https://careers.regions.com/us/en/explore-regions) **to see our locations). Associates will work from their home primarily and may be expected to go on site for meetings or other events as needed.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
