Job description

Senior full stack engineer responsible for building, maintaining, and modernizing a live SaaS platform using .NET technologies and AI-assisted development tools.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, and maintain full stack features
  • Develop backend systems using VB.NET, .NET, and ASP.NET
  • Work within a production VB.NET codebase supporting critical workflows
  • Build frontend components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and cross-functional teams
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve development speed and quality
  • Build automations, scripts, and internal tools using AI
  • Contribute to modernization efforts and technical debt reduction

Requirements

  • Must-Haves:
  • 5-10 years of full stack software engineering experience
  • 3 years of recent Microsoft Azure experience
  • Strong experience with VB.NET, .NET, and ASP.NET
  • Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy VB.NET applications
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs
  • Experience working in production SaaS environments
  • Proven experience shipping production code
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT)
  • Strong debugging, system design, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Git-based workflows
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, startup-like environments
  • Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with ASP.NET Core
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with automated testing and QA processes
  • Background in vertical SaaS (billing, CRM, scheduling, etc.)
  • Experience in small to mid-sized engineering teams
  • Familiarity with Bootstrap 3 and 5
