ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Artera is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer who can bring deep technical insight, guide solution optimization, and ensure smooth, successful implementations for our customers. In this role, you'll serve as a key technical advisor-collaborating closely with Sales, Customer Experience, and Product teams to assess requirements, design scalable solutions, and support both pre and post sale activities. You'll help shape customer workflows, solve complex integration challenges, and drive adoption of Artera's platform by translating technical capabilities into real operational value for healthcare organizations.Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership in Sales & Implementation: Act as the technical lead during the sales and implementation processes, ensuring customer workflows align with Artera's capabilities.
- Technical Discovery & Requirements Analysis: Conduct technical discovery sessions with prospects to evaluate system architecture, workflow needs, and data integration requirements.
- Workflow Design & Solution Architecture: Design and propose optimized solutions for healthcare workflows using Artera's product suite, addressing inefficiencies and ensuring scalability.
- Technical Communication & Stakeholder Alignment: Translate technical concepts into clear and actionable information for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Scoping & Project Feasibility: Scope Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring feasibility and clarity for successful project implementation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales and Customer Experience teams to ensure alignment on customer expectations and project outcomes.
- Product Demonstrations & Technical Presentations: Create and deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to illustrate value to prospective and existing customers.
- RFP/RFI & Security Questionnaire Support: Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, leveraging cross-functional input to craft effective responses.
- Trusted Advisory & Thought Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader for internal and external stakeholders, providing insights on best practices and workflow optimization.
- Internal Technical Enablement: Contribute to internal enablement by educating sales and customer-facing teams on technical aspects of the product.
Requirements
- Technical Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in solutions engineering, technical consulting, or healthcare technology.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in STEM preferred additional experience in lieu of a degree is also acceptable
- Healthcare Integration & Technical Expertise: Strong technical aptitude, with expertise in healthcare integration standards such as HL7, FHIR, and API architecture.
- Technical Scoping & Solution Alignment: Demonstrated ability to scope technical projects and align customer needs with product capabilities.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences effectively.
- Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Proven problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to tackling complex workflows.
- Organization & Multitasking Skills: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a dynamic environment.
Bonus
- Knowledge of database architecture and data storage methodologies.
- HIMSS certifications (e.g., CPHIMS, CAHIMS).
- Experience with RFPs and proposal writing in a technical context.
Benefits & conditions
The compensation for this role will be based on level of experience and the geographic tier in which you are located. Compensation for this role is made up of a base salary with the possibility to earn an additional $30,000/yr through our bonus structure. This position also will be eligible for equity in the form of stock options.OUR APPROACH TO WORK LOCATIONArtera has hybrid office locations in Santa Barbara, CA, and Philadelphia (Wayne), PA, where team members typically come in three days a week. Specific frequency can vary depending on your team's needs, manager expectations and/or role responsibilities. In addition to our U.S. office locations, we are intentionally building geographically concentrated teams in several key metropolitan areas, which we call our Hiring Hubs.
