Job description

We're looking for a senior-level Software Engineer with a strong background in SQL and warehouse management systems to help customize, modernize, and support the software that runs large distribution centers. This is not a web or mobile development role.

This role focuses on enterprise warehouse systems that control inventory, picking, packing, shipping, labeling, and reporting for high?volume distribution centers.

You'll work hands?on with code while also leading development efforts, mentoring other engineers, and helping modernize legacy systems. Experience with Blue Yonder WMS is a plus, but not required - we are open to candidates who have worked on comparable WMS platforms and are eager to ramp into Blue Yonder and MOCA.

What You'll Do

Customize and support a Warehouse Management System (WMS) used by large distribution centers
Write and modify SQL?driven logic, scripts, and datasets that power warehouse workflows
Customize out?of?the?box WMS functionality to meet customer requirements
Develop and maintain:
Labels
Reports
Interfaces
Warehouse workflows
Support and modernize legacy warehouse systems
Lead development efforts on medium to large projects
Guide and mentor other engineers and perform code reviews
Collaborate with architects, operations teams, and business stakeholders
Support the full application lifecycle: development, testing, release, and production support

Technologies You'll Work With

Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Blue Yonder (preferred, not required)
Comparable platforms: Manhattan, HighJump (Körber), RedPrairie, JDA, SAP EWM, Oracle WMS
SQL / Oracle (critical skill)
MOCA (Blue Yonder's scripting language - can be learned)
Java (helpful for understanding system architecture)
Reporting tools such as Jasper or Crystal Reports
APIs / web services for third?party integrations (e.g., shipping carriers)
Linux?based environments
Web UI technologies (HTML / CSS)

Requirements

Required

Strong, hands?on SQL development experience
Experience working with warehouse, logistics, or supply chain systems
Background customizing or supporting enterprise software platforms
Experience supporting systems in a production environment
Ability to lead development efforts and mentor other engineers
Comfortable handling multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred (but not required)

Experience with Blue Yonder WMS and/or MOCA
Experience with other WMS platforms (Manhattan, HighJump, RedPrairie, etc.)
Java or Groovy development experience
Reporting and label customization experience
Agile team experience, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
8-10 years of software development experience (flexible for strong candidates)
Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle
Experience estimating and leading medium?to?large technical projects
Knowledge of modern development best practices and design patterns
