Job description
As our Senior Data Scientist (Pricing), you will be the architect of our global revenue strategy, directly influencing our market competitiveness and profitability through advanced algorithmic modeling. Your work ensures that millions of travellers receive the best value while driving sustainable long-term growth for the Holafly ecosystem., * Design and deploy sophisticated pricing algorithms that dynamically balance conversion rates (CR) and profit margins across 200+ destinations.
- Develop ML models for demand forecasting and customer behavior to anticipate market shifts before they happen.
- Architect experimentation frameworks and A/B tests to validate pricing hypotheses with statistical rigour.
- Translate complex data into actionable commercial insights, identifying untapped revenue opportunities through price elasticity analysis.
- Collaborate with Engineering to build scalable data pipelines, ensuring our pricing engines operate with high reliability.
- Visualise performance metrics in Looker to provide the executive team with a clear "pulse" on revenue health.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning, specifically focused on Pricing or Revenue Management.
- Expert-level Python and advanced SQL skills for manipulating large-scale datasets in environments like BigQuery.
- Proven track record of building models that impact commercial KPIs like LTV, CR, and Elasticity.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to explain technical "black box" models to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the digital businesses (e.g., eCommerce, marketplace, travel, SaaS)
- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in a quantitative field like Mathematics or Economics.
