Software Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Software Engineer with hands on experience building custom plugins for Cameo Systems Modeler. This role will focus on extending Cameo functionality, extracting, and transforming model data, and converting models into JSON and XML formats to integrate with downstream systems, tools, and workflows. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with MBSE environments, understands structured data modeling, and enjoys working with complex engineering models and APIs.

Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+)

• Hands on experience developing Cameo / MagicDraw plugins
• Experience using Cameo OpenAPI
• Strong understanding of SysML and/or UML models
• Experience parsing, generating, and transforming JSON and XML
• Familiarity with model based data extraction and transformation
• Experience debugging and supporting complex Java applications
• Ability to understand and navigate large, unfamiliar codebases

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Exposure to microservices or service-oriented architectures.
• Experience working closely with DevSecOps or platform teams.

$60/hr to $100/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
