Job description
- Build and maintain a self-service application delivery platform for AWS workloads.
- Design reusable Jenkins shared libraries and pipeline standards.
- Create Terraform module stacks for ECS, S3, SQS, Lambda, IAM, and related AWS services.
- Define the YAML-based application contract used by application teams.
- Implement promotion workflows, approvals, drift prevention, and environment separation.
- Partner with developers, security, and operations to deliver secure golden paths.
- Design and develop end-to-end Jenkins Declarative and Scripted pipelines using Groovy to automate seamless code promotion from development through to production environments.
- Build Terraform modules and root-module compositions for multi-service applications.
- Support ECS Fargate and optional AWS capabilities such as S3, SQS, Lambda, IAM.
- Standardize build, test, deploy, and approval workflows.
- Establish Terraform state and environment management practices.
- Create documentation, templates, and onboarding guides for application teams.
- Improve reliability, observability, security, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or additional FOUR (4) years experience in Lieu of degree
- Minimum of SEVEN (7) years Platform Development experience
- Strong AWS experience, especially ECS, IAM, S3, SQS, Lambda, VPC, and CloudWatch.
- Hands-on Terraform experience, including module design and backend/state management.
- Jenkins pipeline expertise, preferably shared libraries and multibranch pipelines.
- Experience creating reusable platform abstractions for multiple services.
- Good scripting ability in Bash or Python.
- Understanding of SDLC, deployment strategies, and release governance.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Experience designing IDP (Internal developer platforms).
- Experience with Spring Boot or containerized Java services.
- Experience with approval gates, policy enforcement, and environment promotion.
- Experience with multi-account AWS design.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and asynchronous patterns.
- Experience onboarding application teams to shared tooling.
- Experience supporting ServiceNow-based low-code applications.
Benefits & conditions
The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
