Job description

The Deputy Chief Information Officer (Deputy CIO) will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to serve as the principal deputy to the CIO, driving internal technology transformation across IT Service Management (ITSM), AI deployment, zero trust, enterprise applications and enterprise governance architecture. You will help align technology investments with mission-critical solutions while establishing standards for the future state of the Enterprise IT environment., * Drive organizational effectiveness and talent development within the Enterprise IT organization..

  • Driving the enterprise-wide maturation of ITIL-aligned ITSM practices, especially focused on incident, problem, and change management.
  • Optimizing the enterprise technology stack, including ServiceNow, Workday, Salesforce, Costpoint, Icertis and Okta within an industry-leading zero trust architecture.
  • Overseeing the deployment, governance and rationalization of productivity platforms such as Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Leading the internal AI strategy and roadmap for deploying tools to improve enterprise efficiency and employee productivity.
  • Establishing an enterprise-wide standards and governance architecture for network operations and data fabric environments.
  • Implementing data-driven analysis and reporting through platforms like PowerBI to measure IT service quality and ROI.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in IT leadership.
  • Significant experience in a senior executive or Deputy CIO-level role within a large, complex organization.
  • Significant experience navigating ITSM frameworks and implementing or scaling ITIL in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience overseeing enterprise platforms.
  • Experience defining and driving enterprise governance programs, including policy development and standards management.
  • Experience with AI/ML deployment in an enterprise context, specifically developing governance structures and operational controls.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or DoDAF and their application to technology roadmapping.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical strategies to C-suite and board-level stakeholders., * Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or ITIL 4 Strategic Leader certification.
  • Experience in a government IT services or defense contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with federal IT compliance frameworks including CMMC, NIST 800-53, and FedRAMP.
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform strategy and its expansion into AI-assisted workflows.

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S Citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
