Job description
- Review and analyze process and system specifications to meet delivery requirements across hybrid Windows environments.
- Design, implement, customize, maintain, and administer Windows operating systems and system software in physical and virtual environments.
- Architect and manage virtualized infrastructure using VMWare and Hyper-V.
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure following cloud-native principles.
- Recommend enhancements and patches for Windows, virtualization platforms, and cloud components.
- Sustain and improve Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability metrics through monitoring, automation, and optimization.
- Implement and update monitoring tools for Windows, virtualization, and cloud resources with AI-enhanced observability.
- Monitor operating system and cloud performance using AI analytics to predict and prevent issues.
- Leverage AI tools for code generation, documentation, troubleshooting, configuration management, log analysis, and reporting.
- Implement AI-driven automation for routine tasks, incident response, and predictive maintenance.
- Recommend new monitoring approaches including AI/ML anomaly detection and automated remediation; develop related documentation and presentations.
- Document test plans and create or revise automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar for infrastructure-as-code.
- Test and analyze infrastructure across VMWare/Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, and hybrid networking.
- Oversee implementation of security guidelines for Windows, virtualization, and cloud resources under zero-trust principles.
- Perform field-level hardware repairs and upgrades for physical Windows servers and coordinate cloud scaling operations.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application Development to align solutions with expectations and technology vision.
- Document and communicate status with timely metric reporting using AI-assisted tools and dashboards.
- Champion collaborative defect resolution and deliver solutions meeting joint requirements.
- Lead or co-lead process improvement initiatives focused on automation, virtualization, and AI adoption.
- Evaluate industry trends and emerging AI/ML, virtualization, cloud, and Windows technologies to recommend change.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff on Windows administration, virtualization, cloud operations, and AI productivity tools.
- Assist with adherence to technology policies and security controls across Windows systems, containers, and cloud.
- Ensure work products meet or exceed FINRA standards for infrastructure and documentation.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Planning, and SOX testing and reporting, including backup and recovery validation.
- Manage vendor relationships and related budgets for enterprise Windows support, cloud providers, virtualization, monitoring, and AI solutions.
- Demonstrate FINRA values and collaborate in support of investor protection and market integrity.
Requirements
- Five or more years as a senior systems administrator in a production data center environment.
- Proficiency with Windows Server administration in physical and virtual environments.
- Hands-on experience with VMWare and Hyper-V.
- Experience designing and operating AWS services such as EC2, Workspaces, Systems Manager, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Experience designing and operating Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Desktop, and Azure AD.
- Skill with monitoring and diagnostic tools for systems, virtualization, and cloud.
- Proficiency in at least one contemporary scripting language such as PowerShell or Python.
- Knowledge of communication and network technologies.
- Exposure to metrics reporting, change, incident, and problem management practices.
- Strong written and verbal technical communication.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and improve work product quality.
- Organized, thorough, and able to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to maintain focus and learn new skills rapidly.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- ITIL and ISO 9000 framework experience or certification (preferred).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent training and experience.
- ITIL framework certification (preferred).

Rate: $70.00 to $75.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
