Job description

Duties Description Under the direction of a Manager Information Technology Services 1, the Information Technology Specialist 4 will be assigned to the Dedicated Services-Housing and Community Renewal (HCR) bureau within the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) and will perform as a full stack developer using a broad range of programming languages and development tools to support the client agency's efforts to modernize applications and platforms and bolster the agency's operational readiness.Duties include but are not limited to the following:* Build-out and lead the Salesforce platform technology team needed to respond to the growing innovation via the Salesforce platform. * Collaborate with enterprise architecture to ensure updated and secure server infrastructure to support content management requirements. * Perform as Tech Lead for the impending mainframe modernization project--an estimated $27M investment commitment by the client-agency. * Lead support efforts and roadmap planning associated with agency SharePoint sites.* Stay abreast of emerging critical technologies in support of agency needs.* Administer and develop critical applications for Content Server (client-agency's document management system) * Act as principal liaison to interface with ITS's Salesforce Center of Excellence. * Guide, train, and mentor a staff of junior developers.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive services as an Information Technology Specialist 4 OR in a position at G-23 or higher deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law OR in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in advancement of more than two salary grades.Note: If you are on the examination eligible list for the position title in this location, you do not need to respond to this posting unless you are also eligible for appointment by one of the qualifications listed above. Candidates must be reachable on the current eligible list for this title in order to be list appointed.
