Job description
As an Oracle ERP HCM Payroll Architect, you will make an impact by leading the configuration and integration of Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll solutions across complex, multi-entity environments. You will be a valued member of the Oracle HCM practice and work collaboratively with Payroll, HR, Finance, Tax, and IT stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant, and scalable payroll solutions.
In this role, you will

Lead the design, configuration, and delivery of Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll solutions, including elements, balances, costing, payroll flows, and controls.

Design and implement integrations using HCM Extracts, HDL, BI Publisher, REST/SOAP APIs, and Oracle Integration Cloud to support end-to-end payroll processes.

Ensure payroll accuracy, statutory compliance, and audit readiness across multi-entity and multi-jurisdiction environments.

Oversee testing initiatives including SIT, UAT, and parallel payroll, and lead release planning and cutover activities.

Provide technical leadership by mentoring analysts and engineers and leading solution workshops and stakeholder communications.
Requirements

10-15+ years in HCM with extensive experience in end-to-end Fusion implementations.

10+ years of payroll technology experience with deep hands-on expertise in Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll configuration and integrations.

Oracle HCM Functional Certifications
-
Strong expertise in payroll configuration, Fast Formulas, and payroll integrations using Extracts, HDL, APIs, and OIC.

Proven delivery experience on large-scale payroll implementations or transformations across multiple entities or jurisdictions.

Strong controls mindset with expertise in compliance, audit readiness, security, and data privacy.
These will help you stand out

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification from the American Payroll Association (APA).

Experience supporting union payroll environments, including premiums and collective bargaining scenarios.

Experience integrating payroll with timekeeping, benefits, tax vendors, and GL/ERP systems.

Hands-on experience with parallel payroll testing, cutover planning, and stabilization.

Exposure to CI/CD or automated testing for Oracle HCM artifacts.

Strong data governance and cross-system data mapping experience.
Benefits & conditions
The annual salary for this position is between $100,890 - $156,000 depending on experience and other qualifications.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to plan terms.
