Job description

Senior full stack Java engineer (6-8 years) with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot-based REST microservices, SQL databases, and modern Angular frontend development.

Requirements

Quality driven developer with 100% unit test focus, BDD (Gherkin), CI/CD automation, AI assisted development experience, and strong ownership, communication, and mentorship skills. Technical

  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in Core Java, Spring Framework, databases (SQL, Snowflake, Oracle), and frontend development
  • Strong hands-on expertise in building RESTful microservices using Spring Boot.
  • Strong hands-on experience in developing frontend applications using Angular; experience with the latest Angular versions is an added advantage
  • Demonstrated commitment to achieving 100% unit test coverage for both backend services and frontend applications, with a strong quality-focused mindset
  • Experience with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) using Gherkin syntax for feature files
  • Proven experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with an automation-first approach
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Windsurf

Soft skills

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and work seamlessly across teams
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, take ownership of assigned deliverables, perform thorough code reviews, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
  • High level of accountability and commitment

Good to have/ Developmental skillset

  • Hands-on experience with automation and performance testing tools, including Playwright and JMeter. ()
  • Experience using Zephyr Scale for test management and traceability

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $61087 - $104364 Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.
