Job description
- Develop, maintain, and optimize software applications and embedded solutions using Python and C for sensing, imaging, and platform integration tasks.
- Support the design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of hyperspectral sensor hardware, optical systems, and related components.
- Perform hyperspectral data analysis and exploitation, including the development and application of anomaly detection and target detection techniques.
- Conduct multispectral image processing and analysis, with emphasis on anomaly detection, target detection, and extraction of actionable insights from imagery.
- Integrate, configure, and support small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS), including sensor and gimbal payload integration, flight dynamics programming, and mission system testing.
- Perform sUAS firmware upgrades, hardware repairs, and system maintenance, and adjust or modify flight control parameters to improve platform performance and mission effectiveness.
- Program, operate, and maintain 3D printing systems to support rapid prototyping, fabrication, and development of custom components.
- Build, assemble, test, and repair electronic circuits and custom cable assemblies to support sensor, platform, and system integration requirements.
Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with front-end and back-end development
- Proficiency with Python and C
- Active Top Secret clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site presence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with sUAS flight control and programming
- Experience with hyperspectral image processing
