A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its finance team in the greater Charlotte area. This is a strong opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who wants to build experience in a fast-paced plant environment while gaining exposure to inventory, month-end close, SAP, and cross-functional operations support., * Gain hands-on experience in plant accounting, inventory, and financial reporting

What you'll do
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Assist with inventory accounting, cycle count review, and variance analysis
- Help monitor manufacturing costs, operating expenses, and key plant performance metrics
- Work within SAP to review transactions, research issues, and support accurate financial data
- Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
- Assist with account analysis, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support fixed asset, AP, AR, or general ledger activities as needed
- Participate in audit support, reporting requests, and ongoing process improvement initiatives
Requirements
This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of accounting experience who is comfortable working with data, solving problems, and partnering with both finance and operations teams. The right candidate will bring a solid accounting foundation, experience in a manufacturing setting, and working knowledge of SAP., * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large amounts of data
- Understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and general accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well across departments
Nice to have
- Experience with inventory, cost accounting, or plant accounting
- Exposure to ERP systems in a manufacturing setting
