Hardware System Engineer

We're looking for a Systems Engineer to support a hardware product team on a large defense program. This role focuses on end?to?end systems engineering for complex hardware systems, working closely with cross?functional teams in an Agile environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform core Systems Engineering activities including requirements decomposition, system design, integration, and test
• Support hardware development across mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Define and manage hardware-to-hardware and hardware-to-software interfaces
• Participate in system integration, verification, and validation efforts
• Support hardware testing, fault analysis, and troubleshooting
• Translate customer and system-level requirements into detailed hardware and software specifications
• Collaborate within an Agile environment, using tools like Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field
• Active Secret security clearance
• Experience working with IBM DOORS for requirements management
• Experience with hardware systems, including mechanical and electrical requirements
• Exposure to UML/SysML, MBSE concepts, Cameo, or block/sequence diagrams

• Background working directly with hardware systems, including:
• Mechanical and electrical hardware design
• Hardware-to-software interfaces
