Job description
The Sr .NET Developer (Lead) provides technical leadership and hands-on development expertise for cloud-first, enterprise application solutions delivered through Agile methodologies. Please note this position follows a hybrid work schedule to include both in-office and telework. Candidates must be able to work from the assigned work location in Virginia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role leads and mentors junior developers, establishes technical priorities, and ensures solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable. This position works closely with Business Transformation Team, Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), Project Managers (PMs), Product Owners, and cross-functional development teams to deliver high-quality solutions using DevOps and continuous delivery practices.
Requirements
- Experience in developing web business applications using .NET and other web-based technologies and understanding of multi-tier architecture
- Advanced skills in .NET MVC Framework and application development experience with ASP .NET, C#, Web API
- Extensive experience in .NET development using Entity Framework, XML, JSON, web services with both .NET 4.x and .NET Core (3.x or greater), SOA concepts, GIT
- Experience in mentoring and leading the development team
- Knowledge of a variety of web-based UI development platforms/languages, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Experience in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Experience in setting and managing technical priorities to support sprint and release goals
- Knowledge of developing web applications for mobile devices and responsive UI design patterns and frameworks
- Working experience with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
- Working experience in IIS administration
- Ability to analyze, design, implement, and maintain IT applications and databases
