- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets from multiple different sources to monitor and track the performance of a large R&D organization.
- Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders, including engineering teams, cross-functional project teams, and upper management.
- Develop and maintain Excel models and Excel databases to build the business cases for our various R&D investments and model out different investment scenarios.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders/ users to understand their current data needs and translate that into technical requirements and/or create data-driven solutions to address these needs.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to influence decision-making and discover opportunities to improve product development performance and operational efficiency.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by designing and implementing robust data collection and validation processes.
- Stay current with latest tools and best practices in data processing, analytics, and visualization.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our ACM division at Medtronic. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building tools and models to interpret data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reports that track and analyze R&D performance. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, * Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in data analysis
- Proficiency in building dashboards and advanced visualizations in PowerBI, Tableau, and Excel while using tools like Alteryx and Knime to process the underlying data.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience building Digital Ecosystems by integrating data and visualizations across multiple tools, including SharePoint, to create a cohesive and collaborative business system.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team., * Experience with SQL, DAX, R, Python, and other software languages for advanced data analysis, including developing complex queries, creating data models, and performing statistical analysis.
- Experience in utilizing Microsoft Advanced data tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, Power Pages, etc. to streamline workflows, enhance data management, and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with AI tools and ability to leverage these capabilities for preforming advanced or predictive analytics.
- Knowledge of R&D processes and key metrics used to track performance of new product development, released product management, and portfolio management
- Familiarity with Medtronic's products and services.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications in Data Science, Statistics, or related fields are a plus.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$81,600.00 - $122,400.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
