Job description

Veradigm is seeking a Salesforce Technical Architect to serve as the definitive technical authority for our Salesforce ecosystem across multiple subsidiaries. This is a senior leadership role for a practitioner who brings deep architectural expertise, a track record of delivering complex enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions, and the credibility to influence both engineering teams and senior business stakeholders. You will own the end-to-end technical vision for Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud - and you will be the driving force behind integration strategy, platform governance, and architectural standards that scale as Veradigm grows., Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Define and own the Salesforce enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise architecture principles, and information security policy.
  • Lead architectural design reviews and technical governance for all major Salesforce initiatives - establishing patterns, guardrails, and standards that span teams.
  • Evaluate platform capabilities and emerging Salesforce features, translating them into actionable roadmap recommendations for executive and product stakeholders.
  • Drive platform health: proactively eliminate technical debt, reduce security vulnerabilities, and maintain high standards of code quality across the Salesforce org.
  • Own production uptime, performance monitoring, and incident response for the Salesforce environment.

Integration & Platform Engineering

  • Architect and oversee bi-directional integrations between Salesforce and mission-critical systems including core EHR platforms, data warehouse, and third-party applications.
  • Set standards for API design, webhook patterns, and enterprise data transfer strategies; lead technical decisions on iPaaS solutions such as Boomi and MuleSoft.
  • Provide hands-on technical oversight of Apex development, Triggers, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce - stepping in at the code level when needed.
  • Lead design and implementation of Salesforce Experience Cloud (Communities), including SSO, SEO best practices, and secure external access patterns.
  • Govern the integration ecosystem spanning tools such as New Voice Media, Zuora, Slack, Outreach, Drift, Marketo, and other AppExchange solutions.

Team & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Serve as a technical mentor and force multiplier for Salesforce developers and administrators - setting the bar for engineering excellence and growing team capability.
  • Translate complex business requirements from Sales, Implementation, Marketing, Product, and Customer Service stakeholders into well-reasoned, scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Lead architecture and design sessions with cross-functional stakeholders; produce clear technical documentation, decision records, and solution designs.
  • Independently manage multiple concurrent projects from inception through delivery, owning planning, execution, risk management, and communication.
  • Manage and optimize a Salesforce environment of 200+ users, including user roles, profiles, permissions, flows, validation rules, reports, and dashboards.
  • Provide advanced training and enablement to Salesforce users on platform capabilities, new features, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise business systems or technical architecture, with 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience - including significant tenure as a technical lead or architect.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering large-scale, multi-cloud Salesforce solutions (CPQ, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) in complex enterprise environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Apex, SOQL, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce.
  • Deep experience architecting Salesforce integrations with enterprise systems using APIs, webhooks, and iPaaS platforms - Boomi or MuleSoft experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong command of structured release management practices, including SFDX, GIT-based deployment pipelines, and CI/CD tooling - Gearset preferred.
  • Experience leading technical teams and influencing without direct authority across organizational boundaries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to distill complex technical concepts for both engineering audiences and executive stakeholders.
  • Salesforce Application Architect and/or System Architect credential requirements, * 3+ years in a SaaS-based company in a senior technical leadership capacity
  • Healthcare sector or health IT experience - familiarity with EHR systems, clinical workflows, or healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) is a significant advantage
  • Hands-on experience with Zuora (revenue & billing) or Boomi Flow
  • Experience building and maintaining BI dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks and project management tools such as JIRA
