Job description
The Design Engineer role will work in partnership with Sales & Customer Success Teams participating in innovative conversations that help shape the growth of our enterprise customers as they embrace the 4th Industrial Evolution. This role assists in the design of solutions utilizing our technology services platform and analyzes customer needs and requirements through strategic discovery., * Assists in preparing and delivers technical proposals and presentations with the appropriate level of business acumen for the audience.
- Will develop solution selling abilities and effective, pro-active customer communications.
- Assists with Analyzing and identifying our customer's business and technology objectives, conduct full technical discovery, and architect custom solutions to meet gathered requirements.
- Assists with customers, sales, and customer success on technical aspects of proposed solutions including fit to customer's needs, features, availability, etc.
- Assists in Internal feedback loop to product management, sales and customer success leadership teams regarding the customer experience, product features/functionality, and service implementation/management.
- Serves the team as a customer advocate, participating in pre-sales efforts including technical sales presentations, RFP and RFI proposals and technical design discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or equivalent in relevant field.
- 2+ years of experience in the technology industry with a focus on pre-sales, engineering, consulting, or similar.
- Technical pre-sales and/or consulting familiarity.
- Fundamental understanding in Security solutions, Network Functions Virtualization, Cloud, and Architecture design.
- General Technical Knowledge in Global network infrastructure, edge cloud capabilities, connected security, communication, and collaboration services.
- Strong verbal and written Communication Ability
- Ability to describe solution value benefits for deal discussions.
- Ability to work independently, or as part of a team to build differentiated customer solutions.
- Some Travel required under normal circumstances

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$77,852 - $103,802 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY
$81,750 - $108,997 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$85,649 - $114,191 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
