Job description
WWT is seeking a DEVOPS Engineer who will serve on a team of technical engineers in support of multiple government programs. Candidates will be the architect of our CI/CD pipelines, the guardian of our cloud environments, and the bridge between our Software Engineering and IT Operations teams. Your mission is to ensure our software is delivered quickly, reliably, and securely. The ideal candidate will possess good communication, presentation, and writing skills. They will have a proven track record of being a problem solver and team player who is capable of working in a technically challenging environment supporting the Navy., * Advanced Networking skills on wide range of network technologies
- OSPF
- BGP
- Static Routing
- VPNs/IPSEC
- LAN/VLAN Creating/Maintenance/Operation
- TCP/IP Configuration/Management
- Securing Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks (STIGs)
Network Automation: Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of multi-vendor network devices (e.g., Cisco, Arista, Juniper).
Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize core network infrastructure, including switching, routing (OSPF, BGP), and security appliances.
CI/CD Integration: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for network changes, ensuring rigorous testing and validation before deployment to production environments.
Standardization: Create and enforce standardized configuration templates using Jinja2 to minimize configuration drift across the global network.
Monitoring & Performance: Develop automated monitoring solutions and telemetry dashboards to proactively identify and resolve network performance issues.
Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps and Security teams to integrate network automation into the broader infrastructure ecosystem and ensure security compliance (e.g., automated firewall policy updates)., We strive to create an environment where all employees are empowered to succeed based on their skills, performance, and dedication. Requirements

BA/BS or equivalent years of combined experience and training.

5+ years of IT experience with 1-2 years of hands on experience working with the technologies listed above.

DoD 8570 Certification: IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent).

CCNP Enterprise, JNCIP Preferred

Ability to maintain a minimum Secret U.S. government security clearance. TS/SCI Preferred.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $190,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
