Job description
As a People Manager for Hardware/Firmware Development, you will:
- Lead and manage a team of Mechanical, Electrical and HW Development Engineers for IBM Storage development organization.
- Provide direction and prioritization in HW development life cycle process.
- Develop roadmaps to deliver on schedule
- Know about programming languages
- Manage escalations, communications, and interlocks with peer managers.
- Remove blockers for the team.
- Identifying and Aligning cross functional dependencies for fast resolutions
- Encourage an environment of courageous and creative innovation, from recognizing needs and generating ideas, to implementing and advocating new ways of working.
- Apply new approaches and solutions for process improvements, automation, and efficiency.
- Foster skills growth and career development of your direct reports.

Programming Languages background
Knowledge in Storage Technologies
Field Support and Failure Analysis background
Strong leadership or people management experience.
Finance and Capital background
Project management and cross-team coordination experience.
Executive presentation experience.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Familiarity or background with IBM Storage, Power, and Z.
Technical breadth in IBM Systems (Infrastructure) offerings.
Ability to collaborate and influence across Storage Systems Development, Systems Assurance and other organizations.
