Job description
As a Data Visualization Developer, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by building out investment data & analytics ecosystem. You will fill a new role in our Technology organization developing advanced technology to support the management of Pacific Life's investment portfolio. This role will work alongside internal technologists (e.g. data engineers, integration engineers, solution architects) as we all external partners to deliver on a robust analytics solution producing deeper insights across our investments at the portfolio and asset level.
How you will make an impact:
- Developing and maintaining the overall data & analytics architecture including data pipelines, models, data quality monitoring, analytic engines, integrations and reporting environments
- Building and maturing processes to operate within a modern, cloud-native technology stack through an Agile (scrum), DevOps operating model
- Guiding and mentoring internal and external technologists
- Partnering with functional stakeholders to translate business capabilities into technical capabilities within the data & analytics environment
- Collaborating with other technology groups across Pacific Life to integrate with upstream and downstream processes and technologies
Requirements
- 5+ years of technology experience across visualization, reporting, analytics or related fields
- 5+ years experience building visualizations and dashboards with tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
- Knowledge and experience working with cloud-native data platforms (e.g. Snowflake)
- Advanced SQL experience with exposure to DAX and MDX scripting
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
What will make you stand out:
- Domain experience with investment systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Aladdin, Barclays Point, Yield Book, MSCI Barra, Trepp, servicing platforms for real estate) and trading platforms
- Understanding of concepts such as security master, trading & position tables, pricing, and asset hierarchies (e.g., GICS industry classification)
- Demonstrated experience building and operating within an Agile/DevOps environment including

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$125,100.00 - $152,900.00
