Senior Software Engineer in San Diego

Skycubed is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with SECRET clearance (TS/SCI ) to support mission-critical DoW capability development in the cyber domain. You will design and build resilient, secure, and scalable full-stack systems. This includes backend services/analytics in Golang or Python, and modern TypeScript-driven front-end applications. You'll own capabilities end-to-end-shaping architecture, enforcing DevSecOps best practices, and driving technical excellence from design through production., * Design, develop, test, and deploy secure, scalable software solutions across front-end and back-end systems.

• Lead development efforts using Golang, Python, and/or TypeScript in mission-driven environments.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Build intuitive, responsive front-end interfaces and integrate them with robust backend services.
• Leverage Git-based workflows, CI/CD automation, and DevSecOps best practices to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and technical decision-making.
• Optimize applications for performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cyber engineers, data engineers, and system administrators.

• Strong programming experience in Golang, Python, and/or TypeScript.
• Full stack development experience (front-end and back-end).
• Experience with Git-based version control and modern branching strategies.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience developing secure, testable, and production-ready software in cloud or on-prem environments.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
• Active SECRET clearance required; TS/SCI .
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Skills & Certifications

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (Svelte, React, or similar).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Familiarity with cyber mission environments and DoW network architectures.
• Security certifications (Security+, CISSP) or cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD).
