Job description
Peraton is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to research, design, and implement advanced data analytics solutions to meet mission-critical objectives. The role requires an innovative mindset to optimize intelligence operations by gathering requirements, developing actionable algorithms, and providing enterprise-level analytics., Design and implement algorithms for pattern recognition, OPSEC automation, and intelligence data analysis.
- Develop visualization tools and reports to enable mission owners to extract actionable insights.
- Build APIs and pipelines to operationalize algorithms within enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with teams to align requirements and milestones with broader development efforts.
- Conduct advanced analytics using Apache, Hadoop, SAS, and Tableau.
- Develop machine learning algorithms for pattern detection and opportunity identification on operational data.
- Present key findings through data visualization platforms like Tableau, PowerBI, Grafana, or Kibana.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an area relevant to the position with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in an area relevant to the position with 6+ years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph
- Advanced knowledge of data science toolkits such as Apache, Hadoop, and SAS.
- Proficiency in Python, R, C++, SQL, and visualization technologies.
- Experience with intelligence data (e.g., telemetry), machine learning, and advanced analytics.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
