Job description
We are seeking a Solutions Architect to develop and maintain the high-level design plan for overall applications, data, and infrastructure architectures. This role provides technical leadership, from strategic decision-making to project-level planning. The architect will be responsible for creating end-to-end architectural solutions for complex applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives., * Translate complex business needs into clear, viable end-to-end technical solutions.
- Design solution architectures aligned with enterprise standards, architectural guardrails, and efficiency mandates.
- Develop Target Architectures that balance business outcomes, security, scalability, and operational sustainability.
- Make and validate key architectural decisions related to technologies, integration patterns, platforms, and frameworks.
- Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements for performance, resiliency, availability, and maintainability.
- Identify architectural risks early and proactively manage technical debt.
- Guide and mentor delivery teams on architectural principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Lead or participate in architecture and design reviews to ensure standards compliance.
- Collaborate with IT leadership, enterprise architecture, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
Experience: 8-10 years of experience in a technical or solutions architect role.
Technical Skills:
- Strong ability to design end-to-end architectures, define system boundaries, and document component and data flows.
- Experience designing application architectures using appropriate patterns (e.g., monolithic, services-based, microservices).
- Hands-on experience designing APIs, integrations, event-driven architectures, and messaging solutions.
- Foundational understanding of data models, data flows, ownership, and quality considerations.
- Solid experience operating in a Microsoft Azure-based environment, including cloud services and resiliency considerations.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code concepts, and guiding teams through review standards.
- Ability to identify risks and design secure solutions from the outset.
- Experience applying architectural standards and participating in governance and review boards.
Functional and Domain Expertise:
- Ability to quickly gain fluency in supported business domains, including Legal and Corporate Affairs.
- Capability to translate business workflows and priorities into technical solutions.
- Awareness of regulatory, governance, and compliance considerations.
- Proficiency in assessing the operational and downstream impacts of architectural decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders., * Preference for architects who come from a strong software engineering or hands-on technical background.
Benefits & conditions
Pay Rate: $80.00/hr - $90.00/hr. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
