Telecommunications Systems Administrator (Entry Level) Role Overview We are seeking an Entry-Level Telecommunications Systems Administrator to support and maintain the client's enterprise telephony environment. This role focuses on the daily administration, monitoring, and support of multiple VoIP phone systems and contact center applications, while also assisting end users and supporting telecom service requests. This is an onsite position based in the La Crosse area and includes on-call responsibilities. The ideal candidate has foundational IT experience, strong organizational skills, and an interest in building a career in telecommunications. Key Responsibilities Telephony Administration & Support

Administer and support the client's telephony network, including:
-
VoIP PBX phone systems
-
Contact Center applications
-
Voicemail systems
-
Call routing, tie lines, and analog lines
-
Call accounting and call recording software
-
Perform creation, removal, and changes to end-user telephone configurations
-
Deploy and configure desk phones and related telecom equipment Monitoring & Maintenance
-
Routinely monitor telephony systems to proactively identify and address potential issues
-
Assist team members with system preparation, maintenance, and upgrades
-
Maintain documentation related to telephony systems for operational and planning purposes Inventory & Documentation
-
Maintain the Telecom Inventory Management System for tracking equipment
-
Assist in creating and updating user training and reference documentation
-
Provide user training and guidance on proper use of telecommunications tools Ticket & User Support
-
Provide Level 1 support for telecom-related service request tickets
-
Assist end users with voice communication issues in a timely and organized manner
-
Handle troubleshooting requests with minimal supervision
Requirements
-
1+ year of experience in IT OR a 2-year degree in IT or Telecommunications
-
General knowledge of IT infrastructure

Basic working knowledge of:

VoIP PBX systems

Call Center platforms

Strong computer skills, including:

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Ability to perform routine local and remote administration of:

Phone systems
-
Voicemail
-
Contact center software
-
Call recording tools
-
Strong organizational, documentation, and timemanagement skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

Telecom Infrastructure Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of La Crosse, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
