Job description

The QA Technician supports manufacturing operations by ensuring products and processes comply with applicable standards, regulations, and internal quality procedures. This role performs in-process and final inspections, manages quality documentation, and collaborates closely with manufacturing teams to enable the timely release of compliant products. The QA Technician follows detailed SOPs, contributes to a strong quality culture, and provides training on quality-related tasks to other employees., * Review incoming orders to assess compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform in-process testing of devices, including post-manufacturing and post-sterilization inspections, to verify product quality.
  • Conduct final product inspections and accurately document product release activities.
  • Summarize inspection and test data, and coordinate with manufacturing supervisors to support efficient and timely product release.
  • Follow detailed procedures documented in SOPs, work instructions, forms, and checklists to ensure consistent execution of quality tasks.
  • Manage forms and manufacturing facility procedures in compliance with organizational guidelines and quality system requirements.
  • Ensure manufacturing facility procedures comply with SOPs, applicable GMP and cGMP requirements, and relevant standards.
  • Maintain and organize customer-related files and documentation so they are complete, current, and easily retrievable.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance of document structure with established SOPs, standards, and applicable cGMP regulations.
  • Adhere to the company's purpose and operating principles to help build a positive and productive team culture.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including appropriate use of PPE when required.
  • Access employee and/or patient PHI and ePHI only as needed for job-related functions, maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Train employees on the job duties associated with the Quality Assurance Technician I role, sharing best practices and quality expectations.
  • Accurately collect, organize, and record quality and inspection data for analysis and reporting.
  • Read, interpret, and apply Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions in daily activities.
  • Use measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, scales, and comparators to perform precise inspections.
  • Apply basic mathematical functions, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, averages, rates, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs as part of data analysis.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks, manage time effectively, and work within deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support quality assurance and manufacturing operations., The role operates across office space, supply rooms, laboratories, and clean room environments within a regulated manufacturing setting. You frequently work with laboratory and manufacturing equipment, as well as hazardous materials and chemicals, and you use appropriate personal protective equipment and safety precautions at all times. The position requires frequent fine hand-eye coordination, regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and other office equipment, and routine handling of measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, scales, and comparators. The work is largely stationary, with some movement between work areas, and includes regularly lifting, carrying, and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds. The schedule may occasionally include evening and weekend work depending on workload, and some overnight travel may be required for work-related activities and events. The environment emphasizes strict adherence to SOPs, GMP and cGMP requirements, and quality and safety protocols throughout daily operations. Job Type & Location

Requirements

  • Prior quality assurance experience in a manufacturing or similar regulated environment.
  • Associate's degree in a technical or business-related field; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Ability to use measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, scales, and comparators.
  • Working knowledge of 21 CFR Part 820 regulations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 13485:2016 or similar standards and experience with Quality Management Systems preferred.
  • Understanding of GMP and cGMP principles and FDA regulatory expectations related to manufacturing quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to accurately complete and maintain quality records and forms.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple documents, procedures, and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to read and interpret SOPs and work instructions and apply them consistently in daily work.
  • Ability to accurately collect, organize, and interpret data for quality and process evaluations.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, averages, rates, and percentages, and the ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance in all quality-related activities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines in a production environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends depending on workload.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams., * Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a radiation-controlled environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Quality Management Systems and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Prior experience in clean room operations and environmental monitoring testing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection tools and techniques used in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working under FDA regulations and within a structured Quality Management System.
  • Demonstrated ability to train others on quality procedures and job-specific tasks.
  • Experience working with hazardous materials and chemicals while following appropriate safety protocols.
  • Comfort working in environments that include office space, supply rooms, laboratories, and clean rooms.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richland, WA. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
