Job description
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a team focused on delivering complex solutions. This role involves designing, building, testing, deploying, operating, and maintaining a wide variety of mission-critical platforms and systems. The engineer will perform system automation tasks, including infrastructure, security, software installation, and configuration automation, while providing new solutions to technical problems using modern tooling and practices., * Set up automation and tooling for the installation and configuration of Windows servers, Linux servers, and Windows workstations.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and automate regular maintenance tasks such as applying updates, patches, and security fixes.
- Automate the configuration and management of network services like DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Automate the implementation and management of backup strategies and monitor system performance to support capacity planning and disaster recovery.
- Automate the implementation and maintenance of security measures, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and access controls.
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve system efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of new systems, upgrades, and migrations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Development Operations (DevOps) and scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is also required.
- An active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with a current full-scope polygraph is required., * A Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Knowledge of network protocols and services, such as DNS and DHCP.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Jenkins.
- Relevant certifications in DevOps, DevOps tooling, or other IT fields.
Benefits & conditions
The pay rate for this position is between $62.00 and $75.00 per hour. Compensation may vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible employees may be offered benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
