Job description

As a Systems Security Engineer II, you will take on a more advanced role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT systems and networks. You will be involved in complex incident responses, advanced digital forensics, and thorough vulnerability assessments. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries. Responsibilities: Design and implement secure IT systems and networks. Perform advanced security monitoring and tuning. Lead incident response efforts and conduct in-depth digital forensics. Conduct comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments. Develop and enforce security controls and protocols. Research and implement new security tools and technologies. Document and analyze security breaches and their impact. Contribute to the development and refinement of security policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline. 2+ years of experience in IT security or a related field. Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. Experience with security frameworks and standards such as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), ISO 27001. Current/Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Qualifications We Prefer: ISSE CAP Certification. Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Security+, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) Certification. Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Linux, and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security Certification. Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software. Experience in the aerospace or defense industry. Essential Functions: Ability to work primarily at a computer for extended periods. Capability to participate in on-call rotation for incident response. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally. Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment. Occasional travel may be required. This posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.

Benefits & conditions

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $94,345.12 - $129,724.54. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
